The rust-out area on the driver's side is not as severe as the passenger side.
There are several spots in the fender that will require replacing with new metal
along with the lower piece just above the wheel well.

First mark off the rusted area to be cut out.  Be sure to check the inside in order to verify the bad area.

Remove only the areas that must be replaced.

Here the smaller front rust area has been cut out and the
matching piece of the patch panel has been cut to fit and clamped in place with the
but-weld clamps.

Be sure to cut off the correct matching piece of the patch panel in order to match the
correct fender curve.

Since this is a small area we will not flange the piece but butt it.  The special butt welding clamps will provide the proper welding space between the pieces.
